After the quiz
Dinner at a crowded jaBistro after a quiz in February 2023.
A friend and I went to jaBistro after I finished a quiz. We left school by car. I no longer remember why we chose this restaurant.
It was crowded when we arrived, and we were seated at the bar. At some point someone from the next table tried to chat us up. I was wearing Diptyque Geranium Odorata, and my remaining memory of the room’s smell is floral.
I have forgotten the names of the dishes. The photographs show the sashimi plate, aburi, a row of nigiri, chawanmushi and dessert. They also make me notice how messily I had dressed that day.
We went home separately. My friend drove, while I walked to the subway and took the TTC home.
